I keep this simple because that's how I run the whole business. Here's what I collect, why, and what I do — and don't — do with it.

What I collect

Your name and email — only if you choose to enter them to download your budget. Your name is optional.
Basic usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated data about how the site and tool are used (pages viewed, buttons clicked), through Google Analytics. This helps me understand what's useful and improve it.
Your budget numbers stay on your device. The figures you type into the budgeting tool are saved in your browser's local storage — they are not sent to me or stored on any server.

How I use it

To send you the occasional bookkeeping tip and the budget you asked for.
To let you know about services or features that might help your business.
To understand, in aggregate, how the tool is used so I can make it better.

What I don't do

I don't sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone — ever. I don't send spam. Every email I send has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is instant and permanent.

Cookies & analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies to measure site usage. If you'd rather not be measured, you can decline cookies in your browser or use Google's opt-out tool. The site works fully either way.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails anytime, ask me what information I hold about you, or ask me to delete it. Just email ed@countwisesolutions.com and I'll take care of it.

The free budgeting tool is provided as a helpful resource, as-is, with no guarantees. A few honest notes:

The tax figures are estimates, not tax advice. The "set aside for taxes" amounts and quarterly estimates are simple planning guides based on the numbers you enter — not a tax filing or professional advice. Your actual taxes depend on your full situation. For anything that matters, talk to a tax professional (I'm happy to be that person).

Your budget data lives in your browser. If you clear your browser data or switch devices without backing up, it may be lost — so download or back up anything you want to keep. Every feature in the tool is free; an optional paid account (cross-device sync & automatic backup) is planned for the future — it isn't a financial service.
